DescriptionDrawing of an early baseball game. In the foreground are a batter swinging and missing a pitch, and the catcher wearing a mask, about to catch the ball. In the background four more players out in the field are visible. All the players are wearing baseball uniforms and caps. Crowds of people in the stands are at the right. In the background, two boys sit on the fence surrounding the field. A figure appearing to be a policeman is walking towards the boys. In the distance, trees are visible, and a church steeple. A blank square spot has been left for a clipping about the game previously attached to the drawing that is now missing.
