DescriptionWooden box with hinged lid, covered with dark blue paper printed in gold ink. The box lid has an eagle with it's wings outspread, and a ribbon in it's beak that reads, "THE HIGHEST YET ATTAINED". The rest of the label reads, "WM. C. LEMON'S / AMBROSIA TOBACCOS / No. 122 BROADWAY, New York."
The side panels also have printing, with the front panel reading, "WM. C. LEMON'S / AMBROSIA TOBACCO, / 122 BROADWAY, New York.” The right side panel reads, "6 DOZEN / AMBROSIA" and has an image of the seal of the state of Virginia in the shape of a shield, and two tobacco plants on either side. The left side panel reads, "AMBROSIA", and a rendition of the state seal of Kentucky in the shape of a shield and words, "UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL" with two tobacco plants on either side. The back panel reads, "WM. C. LEMON'S / AMBROSIA TOBACCO, / 122 BROADWAY, New York."
