DescriptionPortrait of two Civil War army officers on horseback. Each man wears a military uniform including epaulets, a double breasted jacket, a hat with a feather, a belt, and gloves. Additional soldiers on horseback are in the background.
NotesDate Note: Although this print was probably produced in 1861, shortly after the Battle of Wilson's Creek, this impression was apparently unsold at the death of George Whiting in 1862 or 1863. George Whiting's son, Frank P. Whiting, took over his print business, and presumably added his imprint to this print shortly after his father's death. (Finlay 5/11/2007)
