DescriptionA white metal lapel pin commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the G. Fox & Co. department store in Hartford whose main image pin is circular with enameled banners at the top and bottom that read, "100" and "YEARS" in silver on dark blue enamel. The body of the pin has a relief image of the contemporary multi-story store in the background, with a small gambrel roof building in the front meant to represent the original store from 1847. On either side of that image are grapevines, with more bunches of grapes at the bottom. Around the image along the top edge it reads, "A CENTRY OF CONNECTICUT LIVING", with "1847 G. FOX & CO. 1947" below. On the back, there is a threaded post with screw type mounting with gripping teeth. The locking back is marked: "DMW PAT 1858686"; the pin is on a small card that may be original.
