DescriptionA pin made to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the G. Fox & Co. department store of Hartford.
A narrow rectangular bar imprinted with "100 YEARS" has a safety catch closure on the back. A round medallion hangs down from the top bar by a ring. The medallion has a relief design with an image of the contemporary G. Fox & Co. buildings and a representation of the first G. Fox & Co. store in front of it. There are grape vines on either side of the image, and around it at the edge, it reads, "A CENTURY OF CONNECTICUT LIVING", and at the bottom below the image it reads, "1847 G. FOX & CO. 1947".
