DescriptionSeamed tin funnel in a cone-shaped, floral print fabric bag. The funnel (.a) is conical in shape, with a long, narrow spout at the top. Two extra pieces of tin have been soldered to the exterior to make the funnel double walled. The first extra piece is wrapped around the narrow spout and held together by a vertical line of solder along the seam. The extra piece is approximately half an inch longer than the interior spout, so the interior spout is not readily visible from the outside. The second extra piece of tin is wrapped around the wide cone of the funnel; it is soldered at the top to attach it to the first extra piece of tin, and it is soldered at the bottom of the wide opening, to attach it to the interior funnel. A small tin loop, possibly a carrying or hanging loop, is also soldered at the bottom of the wide opening, at the seam.
The conical bag (.b) is made of hand-stitched, plain-woven, glazed printed cotton. The pattern of the cotton is a large two-handled footed vase that holds white and red flowers with leafy stems. The rest of the pattern is flowers and foliage in shade of brown, gren, red, yellow, and white. The bag is made of a single piece of fabric, hand stitched at the narrow bottom, up one side, along the narrow hem at the opening.
