DescriptionTin plaque (.a) with a scene in relief showing a man fighting two lions. The man has short hair and a beard. He wear a Grecian costume: a knee-length toga that crosses over his right shoulder and ties around his waist. He is flanked on either side by a lion that rears up on its hind legs. The man's right arm is pushing at the jaw of the lion on that side, while the man's left arm is blocked from view by the head of the second lion. The three figures stand on a flat ground with some foliage and grass, applied in low relief and paint. The plaque is painted gold, but the man's hair, beard, and toga, and the mains, tails, and fur of the lions are colored with brown, black, and silver paint. The plaque has a small loop at the top of each lion's head and at the top of the man's head, allowing the plaque to be hung up.
The plaque fits into bg made of hand-stitched, plain-woven purple cotton. The white tape draw string is housed in a 3/4-inch hem at the top of the bag. The ends of the drawstring are knotted together.
