DescriptionWomen are shown marching at the Mall and visiting the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, the Washington Monument, the Capitol Building, and the White House. Some photographs include a double-decker tour bus the "Spirit of 76." In some photographs women hold signs and banners.
NotesHistorical Note: According to Columbia Anne Botticello, these photographs were taken during the 1978 Women's March on Washington for the Equal Rights Amendment. She took some of the pictures, while the pictures she is in were taken by someone else. (Hudson 1/8/2007)
