DescriptionBack-to-school parade on Main Street, Hartford, includes parade floats, huge balloons, automobiles, a horse-drawn covered wagon, and a marching band. Most cars are convertibles. Balloons include a tiger, an elephant, a dog, a horse, a dinosaur, a hippopotamus, a two-headed cat, Noah's ark, a clown, and a duck with ducklings. Spectators, including many children, line the street. Mott's Super Market, Walgren's Drug Store, Sears Roebuck and Co., and Hartford Federal Savings appear in the background of some pictures.
