DescriptionMen, women, and a small girl walk on a paved sidewalk that appears to be wet from rain. A wicker baby carriage is at the left. A mailbox is on a utility pole at the right. Gas street lights are attached to the utility poles that line the street. Commercial buildings line the far side of the street. Signs in the archways of the Cheney building read "OUR GREAT COST SALE / A GOOD TIME TO SELECT / FURNITURE, CARPETS, RUGS, HOSIERY, / Underwear, Gloves, Men's Furnishings, &c at Cost." An American flag hangs from the center archway.
