DescriptionFive men and three women assist in the removal of the dead body of Christ from the Cross. Two men stand on a ladder at the right; one holds a large piece of cloth in his teeth. Two men stand on a second ladder at the left. The three women, one standing and two kneeling, are at the left. A basin, a sponge, and the Crown of Thorns are at the lower right.
