DescriptionOpen tab shoes, with a center front seam up the vamp, creating a ridge. The tabs are laced with a brown plaited cotton shoelace through two pairs of punched eyelets, backed with metal grommets. The center back seam is covered on the outside of the shoe with a funnel-shaped piece of matching leather. The shoe leather is finished only with a decorative line of topstitching; there is no lining and no binding. The upper of the shoe is stitched to the inner sole with the seam to the outside, giving a welted effect. The brown rubber sole is flat, except for a slight convex curvature in the heel area.
